Bengaluru: Truist, one of the largest financial services companies in the United States, has expanded its collaboration with Infosys to support the build out of its AI first Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad.

As part of the move, Truist is bringing work currently delivered through several supplier relationships in India into one integrated operating model. Infosys and Truist will mark the onboarding of more than 1,000 colleagues at the centre later this month.

Infosys will help Truist build, scale and transition a self sustaining centre of excellence that brings AI, technology, data and operations together. The model is designed to reduce dependence on third parties and develop deep technology talent. Truist already has a strong base of contract professionals in India across engineering, data and operations.

“Our Global Capability Center in India is a strategic investment in Truist’s future. As we accelerate our transformation into a more agile, AI-enabled enterprise, we are intentionally building global capabilities that allow us to move faster, innovate at scale, and better serve our clients. Through this collaboration with Infosys, we are building not just capacity, but enduring expertise that strengthens how we operate as a global organization.”

Steve Hagerman, Chief Information Officer, Truist

“We are proud to deepen our long-standing relationship with Truist as they evolve their presence in India into a strategic engine for AI-led transformation and reimagination.”

Dennis Gada, EVP and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services, Infosys

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Truist is a top 10 US commercial bank, with total assets of $556 billion as of June 30, 2026.

Our analysis

Truist calls its India centre a strategic investment in the bank’s future, and its choices back that up. It is moving work from several suppliers into one centre of its own, with more than 1,000 colleagues being onboarded, and the model is designed to reduce its dependence on third parties.

For Hyderabad, it means AI, technology, data and operations work for one of the top 10 commercial banks in the United States. For the people joining, it means working inside a bank whose stated aim is to build enduring expertise, not just capacity.
