Wipro has expanded its partnership with ServiceNow to integrate the two companies’ AI platforms, targeting automation of workflows across IT, human resources, procurement, and cybersecurity functions.

Under the arrangement, Wipro will connect its Wipro Intelligence platform with ServiceNow’s AI platform to help enterprise clients deploy agentic AI workflows. The company said the tie-up is aimed at scaling AI adoption while improving operational efficiency.

The announcement pushed Wipro’s shares up as much as 4% on Friday, before settling at Rs 206.82, up 2.6%, on course for its biggest intraday gain since April 1. Wipro’s ADRs on the New York Stock Exchange had surged nearly 19% overnight following the news.

The Nifty IT index rose 2.33% in morning trade on the same day.

The move comes as Indian IT services firms push to deepen their AI offerings. The sector has faced investor pressure over concerns that advances in generative AI, and enterprise pushes by companies such as OpenAI, could erode long-term demand for conventional IT outsourcing.
