TruBridge launched a global capability centre in Chennai in March 2026 with an initial team of 57, set up with Zinnov, to handle revenue cycle work such as accounts receivable management, medical coding and consulting for rural and community healthcare providers in the US, with plans to grow the team significantly over the next 12 to 18 months.
TruBridge is a healthcare technology and services company based in Mobile, Alabama, providing revenue cycle management, electronic health records and analytics to rural and community healthcare providers. It reported 2025 revenue of $346.8 million and has about 3,500 employees, more than 1,500 clients and more than 45 years in healthcare. On 9 July 2026 IKS Health completed its acquisition of TruBridge, agreed in April at $26.25 a share in cash, and TruBridge now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary.
What the centre does
TruBridge announced the Chennai centre on 11 March 2026, launching it with an initial team of 57 professionals. Zinnov helped design and launch the centre, covering talent strategy, operating model design and execution.
The centre initially supports TruBridge’s revenue cycle offerings, including accounts receivable management, medical coding and consulting, and it supports follow the sun delivery and service continuity across markets as part of the company’s global delivery network. TruBridge plans to grow the team significantly over the next 12 to 18 months and to deepen work in automation, training and technology enabled process improvement.
Why Chennai
TruBridge has not given detailed reasons for choosing Chennai over other Indian cities, saying more broadly that India’s healthcare and technology ecosystem is a source of high performing teams. A Tamil Nadu government official at the launch pointed to the city’s healthcare capabilities and talent base and to the state’s standing in medical tourism.
What it signals
The Chennai centre fits a strategy TruBridge was already describing to investors. In its 2025 results, management credited offshoring with improving margins, and with revenue up only slightly from $342.2 million, cost and delivery efficiency matter. The IKS Health deal, completed four months after the centre was announced, adds a new variable. The new owner will decide how Chennai fits with its own operations, which could speed up the planned expansion or reshape what the centre does. The combined group supports more than 2,000 healthcare organisations and more than 150,000 clinicians in the US, a far larger base for Chennai to serve if the new owner chooses to route more work through it.
