Fortuna Entertainment Group inaugurated a 120 seat technology hub in Hyderabad’s HITEC City in May 2026, backed by a planned 12 million euro investment over five years. The Central European betting and gaming operator counts it as its third largest tech hub after Prague and Split. Teams cover AI and machine learning, data engineering, product development, testing and IT monitoring.
Fortuna Entertainment Group is a betting and gaming operator with its registered office in Prague, active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Montenegro and Lithuania. Its brands include Fortuna, PSK, Casa Pariurilor, LOB and TOPsport, and it has more than 5,000 employees. Penta Investments bought Fortuna in 2005, and the group’s India operation dates to 2020, when the Indian business intelligence firm Idea Spark joined it.
What the centre does
The new hub at My Home Twitza in HITEC City was inaugurated on 21 May 2026 with 120 seats, backed by a commitment of €12 million in India over five years. FEG ranks it as its third largest technology hub worldwide, after Prague in the Czech Republic and Split in Croatia.
Work runs across three areas. AI and machine learning covers predictive analytics, automation and decision making. Data intelligence covers data engineering, analytics and business intelligence. Core engineering includes product development, software testing, IT monitoring and customer experience. The India unit began with a single capability and has grown from a support function into a multi capability centre, and the group also launched an in house gaming studio in India in 2026.
Why Hyderabad
Group leadership pointed to Hyderabad’s mix of engineering talent and deep AI expertise, and the company cited the city’s talent pool in AI, data science, analytics and engineering along with its growing standing as a technology hub. Penta described India more broadly as a natural home for long term capital because of its innovation, scale and depth of technical talent.
What it signals
A 120 seat office is modest, but the ranking matters more than the headcount. Putting India third among FEG’s technology hubs, behind Prague and Split, means a real share of the engineering behind its regulated European betting brands now runs through Hyderabad. A five year spending commitment, publicly backed by its owner, also signals that Penta treats the India unit as permanent capacity rather than a trial. The open question is how much product decision making moves to Hyderabad as the AI and data teams mature.
