ATOSS Software opened an AI technology hub at International Tech Park Bengaluru in May 2026. The German workforce management software company is building agentic and conversational AI, optimisation and forecasting tools there, working alongside its R&D teams in Munich and Romania. Headcount and floor space were not disclosed.
ATOSS Software is a workforce management software company based in Munich and listed on Germany’s SDAX and TecDAX indices. It reported 2025 revenue of €189.3 million, up 11 percent, with cloud and subscription revenue up 28 percent to €92.7 million, and it had 856 employees at the end of the year. Its roughly 21,100 customers include Deutsche Bahn, Lufthansa, Decathlon and Primark. Its software covers time and attendance, forecasting, scheduling and capacity planning, and runs in the cloud, on premises or for SAP users.
What the centre does
ATOSS announced the hub at International Tech Park Bengaluru on 19 May 2026. Its task is to build the next generation of agentic AI for workforce management, meaning AI agents that can plan, simulate and orchestrate work in real time for customers.
The Bengaluru team brings together specialists in multi agent systems, conversational AI, reinforcement learning, large scale optimisation and forecasting. It works closely with the company’s R&D units in Munich and in Sibiu and Timisoara in Romania, complementing its existing development teams in those two countries. The company said teams across its locations will work together to deliver at global scale. ATOSS has not said how many people the hub employs or plans to hire.
Why Bengaluru
ATOSS described Bengaluru as one of the world’s most dynamic hotspots for AI and tech talent and a prime location for AI and software development. It said the city gives it an ideal environment to attract top talent and supports its international expansion and its AI first innovation strategy.
What it signals
This is a small company making a targeted bet. With fewer than 900 employees, even a modest team in Bengaluru adds meaningful research capacity, and ATOSS has pointed it at the most forward looking part of its roadmap rather than at maintenance or support. The move also widens a development base that until now was centred on Germany and Romania. With cloud revenue growing far faster than the business overall, the pressure to put AI features into its subscription products is clear, and Bengaluru is where ATOSS has chosen to build them.
