AssetMark Opens GCC in Hyderabad

AssetMark launched AssetMark Global Wealth in Hyderabad in October 2026, leasing space at Phoenix Hitec City with room for about 500 people. The wealth management platform’s teams there cover technology, engineering, product management and operations, including AI work aimed at advisor productivity.

AssetMark is a wealth management platform headquartered in Concord, California, providing planning tools, investment solutions and operational support to financial advisors. Founded in 1996 and now in its 30th year, it serves more than 10,000 advisors and over 3.4 lakh investor households, with more than $180 billion in platform assets as of 30 June 2026. It has over 1,100 employees and describes itself as independent and privately owned.

What the centre does

AssetMark Global Wealth was announced on 27 October 2026 in a leased, fully built out workplace at H-10, Phoenix Hitec City. The centre is designed for about 500 employees, and hiring is under way at every level, from global leaders managing teams in India and the US to experienced professionals and early career recruits.

Teams will cover technology, engineering, operations and product management, working with US colleagues on the platform. That includes using AI to raise advisor productivity, improve client service and scale engineering, with the company saying human judgement stays central to decisions. The first campus intake is 10 to 15 graduates from Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, and the company plans to add more institutions over time.

Why Hyderabad

The company cited Hyderabad’s ecosystem of technology and financial services expertise, and said the location supports collaboration across regions and time zones. The Hyderabad team will work directly with US colleagues on technology and engineering projects. AssetMark has run Indian operations for nearly a decade through an outsourcing model, and the new centre brings that work in house.

What it signals

Moving from an outsourced arrangement to its own centre gives AssetMark direct control over engineering and operations work that touches advisors and their clients. Room for about 500 people is large next to a total workforce of just over 1,100, which suggests India could become a substantial share of the company over time. Starting a campus programme alongside senior hiring also points to a long term build of talent rather than a quick transfer of roles. The pace of hiring against that capacity is the measure to follow.
