N-able opened a global capability centre in Bengaluru in June 2026. The centre already has more than 100 employees, and the company plans to grow that headcount by at least half before the end of the year.
N-able is a cybersecurity and IT management software company headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Its AI powered platform helps managed service providers and IT teams monitor, manage and secure devices and networks. The company says the platform serves more than 500,000 organisations worldwide. John Pagliuca is its chief executive.
What the centre will do
The Bengaluru team works across engineering, product management, user experience and security operations. Security is the core of the brief. The centre is expected to help build AI driven capabilities such as automated threat detection, continuous monitoring and faster incident response, and to modernise how N-able runs security operations. Mike Adler, the company’s chief technology and product officer, has framed the centre as part of that push. Beyond product work, N-able also sees the expansion as a way to respond to rising cyber risk and data protection demands facing small and medium businesses in India.
Why Bengaluru
N-able has said its choice of Bengaluru came down mainly to talent rather than cost. The city has one of the deepest pools of engineers in the country, along with growing specialist skills in AI engineering, applied machine learning, cloud security and threat intelligence. That depth matters for a security vendor that needs people who can work on detection models and live operations at the same time. The company has also said it wants to help build the city into a hub for cyber talent and to offer staff meaningful global work and career growth.
N-able’s India footprint
The GCC is N-able’s dedicated India centre and its main engineering base in the country. With more than 100 people at launch and a target of growth of 50% or more by the end of 2026, the team could reach roughly 150 or more within its first year. N-able has not disclosed further hiring targets beyond that.
What it signals
The launch adds to a steady flow of security software companies building teams in Bengaluru. Cybersecurity and AI skills are among the most sought after in India’s capability centre workforce, and vendors are increasingly placing core detection and response work in the country rather than limiting it to support roles. N-able’s move fits that pattern, with product and security operations sitting side by side from day one.
