Aon Opens New Bengaluru Capability Centre in Whitefield

Aon opened a new facility for its Bengaluru capability centre in June 2026 at The Earth Centre in Whitefield. The site supports risk capital and human capital delivery for the global group. Aon’s Indian arm has leased nearly 200,000 sq ft in the building across four floors, with the first phase taken in December 2025 and a second phase added in June 2026.

Aon is a global professional services firm that advises clients on risk, retirement, health and people. Aon plc is incorporated in Ireland and runs its principal executive offices in Dublin, with its shares listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The firm has about 60,000 colleagues, serves clients in more than 120 countries and posted total revenue of about $17.2 billion for 2025.

What the centre will do

The Bengaluru centre combines analytics, technology and operations expertise to support work across Aon’s two main business groups. Risk capital covers commercial risk and reinsurance, while human capital covers health, wealth and talent advisory. The new office includes upgraded meeting rooms, dedicated training spaces and shared areas designed for team collaboration and flexible working. The building is LEED certified, which Aon has tied to its sustainability goals. The company has not given a headcount for the site.

Why Bengaluru

Bengaluru has the country’s largest base of technology, analytics and insurance services talent, and Whitefield is one of its biggest office corridors. Aon already had a capability centre in the city, so the new facility lets it consolidate and grow teams in a market where it knows how to hire. Our page on GCCs in Bengaluru tracks the other global companies building there.

Aon’s India footprint

Aon runs capability centres in three Indian cities, Bengaluru, Noida and Gurugram, and has client facing offices in 17 more, including Mumbai and Delhi. India is the largest part of a capability network that also includes a small number of centres in Europe and Latin America, all supporting integrated delivery for the group. The head of Aon’s global capability centres has described India as playing a critical role in the firm’s worldwide operations.

What it signals

Insurance brokers and consultancies have been moving more analytics and technology work into captive centres, and Aon’s new space shows that shift is about upgrading as well as adding headcount. A five year commitment to a large Whitefield office signals confidence in Bengaluru as a long term base for specialist risk and people advisory work, not just transaction processing.
