Sony India Private Limited was founded on November 17, 1994, and is based in New Delhi. Revenue from operations rose 20.6 percent to Rs 7,663.74 crore in the year ended March 2024.
Sony India Software Centre was set up in Bengaluru in 1997. Sony Research India began work on July 1, 2020, with laboratories in Bengaluru and Mumbai focused on applied AI and data analytics.
Local production of Bravia televisions resumed in August 2015 through a contract manufacturer in Tamil Nadu.
