LG Electronics's India business
LG entered India in 1997 with its first plant in Noida. Construction of the Sri City plant, backed by an investment of about Rs 5,001 crore over four years on 247 acres, began in May 2025.
The Sri City plant is targeted for completion by the end of 2026, starting with air conditioners and adding washing machines, refrigerators and compressors through 2029. Once Sri City is running, LG's combined Indian capacity will reach 4.7 million air conditioners, 3.75 million washing machines, 3.6 million refrigerators and 2 million TVs a year.
