Hitachi runs its Indian operations through about 28 group companies, led by the wholly owned Hitachi India Private Limited. Its power grid arm operates through Hitachi Energy India Limited, a listed company in which the promoter holds 71.31 percent. Hitachi Energy India Limited is listed on the NSE and BSE under the symbol POWERINDIA.
