AM/NS India is a steel joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel. Its integrated steel plant is at Hazira near Surat, supported by pellet plants, iron ore mines, ports and downstream processing units across several states.

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India is a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, formed when the two companies acquired the bankrupt Essar Steel in 2019. ArcelorMittal chairs the venture.

India is a steelmaking base and domestic market for ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, with an integrated flat steel plant at Hazira supported by mines, pellet plants, ports and downstream units.

In October 2022 the company began a Rs 60,000 crore project to expand the Hazira steel plant in Gujarat from 9 million tonnes to about 15 million tonnes a year.
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India's India business
The company was formed in December 2019 after ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel acquired the bankrupt Essar Steel. It operates pellet plants and deep draft ports at Visakhapatnam and Paradeep and slurry pipelines from Kirandul and Dabuna.
Its downstream units are at Pune and Khopoli in Maharashtra. In April 2023 the joint venture acquired Indian Steel Corporation.
