Augury opened an engineering hub in Bengaluru in October 2026, set up with SecondHQ. The industrial AI company’s team works on R&D, applied AI and agent development for its Industrial AI Workforce product, pairing engineers with manufacturing specialists. Headcount and floor area were not disclosed.
Augury is an industrial AI company whose machine health and process health products help manufacturers cut downtime, improve efficiency and reduce waste. It raised $75 million in February 2025 in a round led by Lightrock, keeping a valuation above $1 billion, funding the company has linked to product development and global expansion. Its platform draws on more than 15 years of machine monitoring and is used at more than 800 plants across six continents, in sectors such as food and beverage and consumer packaged goods.
What the centre does
The Bengaluru hub opened in October 2026 and was set up with SecondHQ, which provides services for building capability centres. It widens Augury’s research and development and applied AI work, with a focus on agentic capabilities for the Industrial AI Workforce, a set of role based AI agents for reliability, maintenance and operations teams that the company launched in May 2026.
The centre brings engineers together with industrial domain specialists, which matters for a product built around how plants actually run. Augury has not disclosed headcount or floor area. Bengaluru adds a third location to an engineering network that already spans the United States and Israel.
Why Bengaluru
Augury’s chief product and technology officer said expanding in Bengaluru gives the company access to exceptional talent and strengthens its ability to innovate and serve manufacturers worldwide. The company has not given other reasons specific to the city. Its plan for the centre is to bring engineering talent together with industrial domain experts, which suits work that pairs software with knowledge of factory operations. Karnataka’s state digital economy mission welcomed the hub at its opening.
What it signals
Putting agent development in a new hub only months after launching the product suggests Augury sees this as its main area of investment and wants more engineering capacity behind it. It also ties the India team to the newest part of the product line rather than to upkeep of older software. Using a partner to set up the centre also suggests Augury chose a lighter route into India than building everything alone. Hiring figures, once shared, will show how central Bengaluru becomes next to the US and Israel teams.
