The Narrative Republic (“we”, “us”) runs thenarrativerepublic.com, a business media platform covering foreign companies in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, company and message when you write to us, pitch a story, apply for Leadership Perspective or ask about a partnership.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device type, browser and approximate location. We collect this through Google Analytics.
- Cookies. Small files that help the site work, remember your light or dark mode choice, and measure traffic.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as financial, health or government ID details.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiries and manage editorial or partnership conversations
- To understand which stories readers value and improve the site
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider and Google Analytics. They process it on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose data when the law requires it. Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. When that happens, we make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Cookies and analytics
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some preferences may not be saved. To stop Google Analytics from collecting your data, use the Google Analytics opt out browser add on.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as the conversation is active and up to two years after. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw any consent you have given. Write to editorial@thenarrativerepublic.com and we will respond within 30 days.
