TVH, the Belgian supplier of parts for industrial and off road equipment, has expanded its global capability centre in Pune with a new multi level floor at Phoenix Fountainhead. The extension, inaugurated in July 2026, adds room for 150 employees and lifts the centre’s total seating capacity to 400. The company plans to grow its Pune team significantly by 2028.
Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Waregem, Belgium, TVH supplies parts and accessories for material handling, industrial, construction and agricultural machinery. It stocks more than a million different parts, employs over 5,000 people, operates from about 90 locations and serves customers in around 170 countries. It also runs electronics remanufacturing and technical training operations.
What the centre will do
The Pune centre handles engineering, digital products, data, enterprise technology and business support, with work spanning ecommerce and digital, market intelligence and technical services. Teams collaborate with TVH colleagues in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. The new floor includes an atrium style innovation space with interactive displays, flexible collaboration areas, a gaming zone and a medical room. Vishal Rajani, managing director of TVH India, has described Pune as the group’s third global hub alongside its sites in Belgium and the United States.
Why Pune
Pune has grown into one of India’s fastest expanding locations for capability centres, particularly for European engineering and industrial companies. It offers a strong base of mechanical, automotive and software engineers, and operating costs are generally lower than in Bengaluru.
TVH’s India footprint
TVH India runs the Pune capability centre, which the company counts among its key global hubs. Before this expansion the centre had capacity for about 250 people. The group has not disclosed exactly when the centre was first set up or its current headcount.
What it signals
TVH’s expansion is typical of how mid sized European industrial groups are using India. Rather than a single large launch, they add floors and functions in steps as digital, data and ecommerce work grows. For a parts business that depends on catalogue data and online ordering, building that capability in Pune gives TVH room to scale without matching the costs of its European base.
