MetLife Expands Noida GCC With 75,000 Sq Ft at Oxygen Park

MetLife has taken another 75,000 sq ft at Oxygen Business Park in Noida to grow its India global capability centre. The deal, which came to light in March 2026, covers the 12th and 13th floors of Tower 3 on a five year lease. It adds to roughly 291,000 sq ft the company already occupies in Tower 2 of the same park, taking its presence there to about 366,000 sq ft.

MetLife is one of the largest life insurers and employee benefits providers in the world. The New York company has close to 160 years of history and operates in more than 40 markets. Its asset management arm, MetLife Investment Management, oversaw about $748 billion in assets at the end of June 2026, and the group posted adjusted earnings of $6.5 billion for 2025.

What the centre will do

The new floors will house additional teams for the India centre, which is run through MetLife Global Operations Support Centre Private Limited. The unit handles technology development, analytics, digital transformation, finance and business operations for the global group. Rent on the new space starts in July 2026, which points to teams moving in during the second half of the year. MetLife has not disclosed how many people the extra floors will hold or what hiring will follow.

Why Noida

Oxygen Business Park is a 25 acre special economic zone in Sector 144, along the Noida Expressway, with about 3.3 million sq ft of Grade A office space. Staying inside the same campus lets MetLife expand without splitting its teams across locations, and the park already hosts a mix of global technology and engineering tenants. Noida has drawn a steady run of capability centre leases from companies looking for large, modern floor plates.

MetLife’s India footprint

MetLife has built its India centre into one of the larger insurance captives in the country. It set up its current base in Tower 2 of Oxygen Business Park in 2024, and the March deal is its first major addition there since. The centre supports the parent company’s operations across functions rather than serving a single business line, and the new space is meant to give those teams room to grow as the insurer leans harder on data, digital platforms and automation.

What it signals

Insurers have been among the most active builders of capability centres in India, and the work they send is moving well beyond claims processing into analytics and software. MetLife’s choice to deepen an existing campus rather than open a new city is typical of mature centres, which tend to add floors near their current talent base once the operating model is proven. The move also adds to Noida’s growing share of financial services centres in the wider capital region.
