Unicharm makes baby diapers, sanitary napkins and adult incontinence products in India under the MamyPoko, Sofy and Lifree brands. It runs three plants in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat and is managed from Gurugram.

India is a growing market and manufacturing base for Unicharm's MamyPoko diapers, Sofy napkins and Lifree adult care products, made at plants in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
Investment and deals
In 2017 Unicharm announced an investment of up to 20 billion yen, about 176 million dollars, in a third Indian plant in Gujarat to raise capacity by 50 percent.
Unicharm's India business
Unicharm set up its Indian head office in Gurgaon and its first plant in Rajasthan in 2008. Its second plant, on a 40 acre site at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh, opened in July 2015.
Its largest Indian plant, at Sanand near Ahmedabad, opened in September 2018 on about 300,000 square metres. MamyPoko was the second largest diaper brand in India in 2017.
